    AIUB faculty domain

    A focus area the club runs, linked to one or more faculty domains.

    Research area

    A narrower topic within a track.

  4. Level 4

    Project

    A team of students, usually with a faculty advisor, working on one question.

  5. Level 5

    Publication

    Papers, preprints and posters that come out of projects.

Doing research responsibly

University policy is the authority on research ethics. Before starting a project, check the official AIUB guidance — especially if your work involves people, personal data or surveys.

Institutional Review Board (IRB)

  • Human participants

    Studies with people may need IRB review before any data is collected.

  • Data handling

    Store personal data securely and only collect what the study needs.

  • Citation & plagiarism

    Credit every source; paraphrasing still needs a citation.

  • Authorship

    Agree on author order and contributions early, in writing.
